There are four classifications of membership:

  • The Individual (“Active”) Member class is for individuals involved in the planning, supervision, teaching and clinical practice of out-of-hospital medical care. Active Members will be afforded all privileges of the Association, including voting rights, committee membership, election to offices and the right to advise the Association in the conduct of its affairs. Application for this level may be made below. Current dues are $50.00 per year.

  • The Institutional Member class is for organizations actively involved in the planning, supervision, teaching and clinical practice of out-of-hospital medical care. Each Institutional member includes up to five representatives that will be considered “Active” members and who will be afforded all privileges of the individual/“Active” member class, provided they meet the qualifications of such. One of those individuals will serve as the designated administrator responsible for designating who the remaining individuals are. Application for this level may be made below. Current dues are $250.00 per year.

  • The Corporate Member class is for organizations interested in emergency medical services, and who are for-profit corporations, not-for-profit associations, governmental agencies, and similar entities. Each Corporate member is allowed up to three representatives. Corporate members may serve on committees, but may not make motions, vote, hold office, or chair committees. One of the corporate representatives will serve as the designated administrator responsible for designating who the remaining representatives are. Application for this level may be made below. Current dues are $200.00 per year. Please note, Individual and Institutional member organizations that also wish to apply for Corporate membership should email FAEMSE Executive Director James Dinsch at jdinschREMOVE@faemse.org.

  • The Honorary Member class is for those individuals deemed by the Board of Directors to have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the field of emergency medical services, who have made significant contributions to the goals of the Association, and who have distinguished themselves in this field. Honorary Members are elected by the Board of Directors and may be nominated by members of the Association. Honorary Members shall not have the right to vote, the right to chair committees, or the right to hold office. Honorary Membership is a life-long appointment and are not charged a membership fee.

  • The Participant class is not an actual class of membership. It exists to allow employees of regulatory authorities (e.g., Department of Health) to register for access to the organization's shared resources including the Listserv. Anyone in one of these positions wishing to register as a participant should contact Executive Director James Dinsch at jdinschREMOVE@faemse.org.

Membership is valid for a period of one year from the application being approved.
