Association Bylaws

The bylaws of the Florida Association of Emergency Medical Services Educators, Inc. (FAEMSE) establish the rules and procedures that govern the association. They define membership, board structure, elections, meetings, and other operational matters.

Article I — Name and Purpose

The name of this organization shall be the Florida Association of Emergency Medical Services Educators, Inc. (FAEMSE). The purpose of the association is to provide resources to individuals and organizations that will foster excellence in EMS education and training throughout the state of Florida.

Article II — Membership

Membership in FAEMSE is open to any individual or organization with an interest in EMS education. Membership categories include Individual and Organizational memberships. All members in good standing are entitled to vote in association elections and participate in association activities.

Article III — Board of Directors

The affairs of the association shall be managed by a Board of Directors consisting of elected officers including the President, President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Directors at Large. Board members serve terms as defined by the association and are elected by the general membership.

Article IV — Elections

Elections for board positions shall be conducted annually among members in good standing. Nominations may be submitted by any member in good standing. Election procedures, timelines, and eligibility requirements are administered by the Board of Directors.

Article V — Meetings

The association shall hold at least one general membership meeting per year. Board meetings shall be held as needed to conduct the business of the association. Special meetings may be called by the President or by a majority of the Board of Directors.

Article VI — Amendments

These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the members present at any general membership meeting, provided that the proposed amendment has been submitted in writing to all members at least thirty days prior to the meeting.
